A Business Study of more than 4,100 Global Executives in Asia
Over the last few decades, generations of workers have been steadily preparing for an Asian Century. Senior decision-makers are looking for success stories and to better understand common challenges associated with expanding to, in and from Asia. At Telstra, we know there is a need for peer-based research, so we commissioned Connecting Countries, a pan-Asia executive study designed to showcase insights and strategies for success from executives based in Asia.
Whether the region is their natural or adopted home there is a growing talent pool deployed in Asia that are building better trade links throughout the world. It’s rare to hear from these executives as a collective – but as more multinational organisations look to expand into Asia their feedback is needed now, more than ever.
Telstra commissioned Connecting Countries to close this information gap by examining the experiences of senior decision makers across multiple markets in an invitation only research program. More than 4,100 executives with international experience took part in Telstra’s research efforts.
For every completed questionnaire Telstra donated USD$2 to a not-for-profit operating in Asia (Red Cross/ Red Crescent, WWF or UNICEF) and in early 2014 we donated USD$10,000 between these organisations as a thank you to the respondents that shared their insights in the Connecting Countries research initiative.
